New Year

In dreams or in our waking
It’s just enough to say
Love and grace and endless flowers
Be ours on New Year’s Day”*

Well 2015 is winding down.

There were lots of changes for us – selling “Tapestry”, our boat/home for 12 years, looking for a new place to live and becoming dirt dwellers again, watching our daughter blossom in her family way, joining a new art gallery in Marathon, Florida (Shady Palm Art Gallery), expanding our presence in HorseSpirit Art Gallery in Ellicott City, MD, and continuing to experiment with fabric and electrons.

We had some great shows this past year and we are really excited that the winter show season starts for us in just a few more days. There are some new events for us in 2016 that after several years of rejecting our applications saw the foolishness of their ways and juried us in. We’ll also be back at some venues that were very rewarding for us last winter.

Our life on the art show circuit continues to evolve. One decision we have made is to transition to exhibiting digital monoprints. Until now, we have been selling limited editions of most of our pieces (no more than 50 digital prints per image.) We will continue to display each of these works until the edition is closed.

For our new pieces, however, we will only print one image from the digital file. This will have the effect of making every work of art one-of-a kind.

This change, in addition to increasing the value of the piece for the purchaser, may also improve our chances of getting accepted to a number of top-tier shows that frown on “editions”.

So, we look forward to 2016 and all that awaits.  Thanks so much for visiting our booth.  We love seeing old friends and making new ones along the way.  HAPPY NEW YEAR!
